Learn how to learn training will show you how to learn new skills and research independently, and how to teach others what you learned.
Before we dive into training, let’s pause. What is learning? Learning happens when we set goals, take action and pause to reflect on what happened. In this workshop, you will practise three essential steps for learning. You will set goals, take action steps and take breaks to make sense of information.
What will you learn during learn how to learn training?
Goal Setting. You will learn how to write clearly about what you are curious about. Goal setting techniques will help you to formulate your goals. Mobile apps like Trello and Workflowy will help you to make a note of your goals on your phone.
Task Management. Project management methods Kanban and Agile with a mobile app Trello will help you to organise your goals into specific action steps.
Resting. Time management techniques such as Pomodoro and tools as Toggl will make it easy to give your brain a much needed break to synthesise information. Reflective practises will ensure you are creating knowledge out of your experiences.
Teaching. When you will be training someone else to learn what you learned, you will be explaining the fundamentals and providing a safe space for reflection with supportive feedback loops.
You may need to schedule multiple learning sessions to take all of these steps!
